That's what's the matter. We don't get sealed so much; we're too loose about things. When the Inspector goes through to inspect your life to see if you're not just a little loose about things, little loose about your prayer life, little loose about that temper, little loose about that tongue to talk about others.
When I was a boy, my daddy was a different from what some of the modern fathers are today. My daddy believed in giving whippings, and he really give them. We remembered them. And I, yet, today, of forty-seven years, I remember them. But it done me good. It trained me. If I could go to the grave today and raise him up, the first thing I’d do would shake his hands and hug him for what he done.
The Holy Ghost is a Seal. It's a Sign that God gave to His chosen children. To reject It is to be cut from the people, and to receive It is to be finished with the world and all the things of the world, and to be a product that God has put a Seal of approval on.
Christianity is not nothing you pretend; you've got to have it. You've got to have it. The devil knows whether you've got it or not. He knows all about it. No matter how much you can put on a great psychological effect on the outside, the devil knows just how deep that is, and he stand and laugh at you.
If you start anywhere without Christ, trouble's on its road. Just as soon as the devil sees you out of fellowship with Christ, right then he will set out for you as hard as he can. Just as soon as he sees you away from prayer, away from consecration, Satan will catch you right then if he possibly can.
