We give thanks to God not for everything but in everything. This means you have no choice to say that as for you, you cannot thank God. He says 'In everything'. In everything, means in all things. It is also the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning us. If you are in Christ then it is will of God to be thankful in all things. Our lives should be full of thanksgiving.
A season of reflection and gratefulness for life in its various forms, trials, and triumphs. To me, the season of Thanksgiving is the perfect and logical precursor to the season of Christmas — of thankfulness and gratitude for the love of a Holy God that took the human form of a baby in a manger.
Eucharisteo means 'to give thanks,' and give is a verb, something that we do. God calls me to do thanks. to give the thanks away. That thanks-giving might literally become thanks-living. That our lives become the very blessings we have received. I am blessed. I can bless. Imagine! I could let Him make me the gift! I could be the joy!
