We live in a profoundly religious country, and we are a prosperous people. But we are also a broken people-a people who have pursued the God of our own imaginations, believing we can re-create His character to suit our own practical problems. The result? We are the most religious nation in the world, but, like the Laodiceans, many are lukewarm.
I believe from one sea to the other shining sea we will begin to hear about God breaking out. A great grace is coming to our coast lands. Many have been seeing tsunamis come to our shores but they will be of glory and not of devastation. God is not unhappy with America as a country, only slightly annoyed with the gloom He sees in His Church.
No judge can stop us from praying for our country and I pray that on May 6, millions of Americans will join me in praying for our President, all of our elected leaders, and even for this unjust judge and all those who rule from the bench - that God would guide them and give them wisdom.
