If you don't go out to preach the gospel many will die and end up in hell and if you don’t go out to preach also you’re sitting on your own prosperity. Those whose God’s eyes are on them are those who have the work of God at heart.
We have seen moral and religious leaders, men who claim to be followers of Jesus, fall into disgrace in the eyes of God and man, and worst of all we have seen the Gospel of Jesus Christ and twisted and distorted it by false teachers to accommodate the destructive morals and secular behavior of these times.
And I believe we're getting our last call. That's the reason, tired and weary I stand at the platform night after night. And you know it's not for money. It's not for popularity. I shun those things. But it's because it's something in me is driving me, and I know it's the Holy Spirit, that the message combs through the country back and forth until every fish has been caught in the Gospel net.
Nowhere in Mark 16:15-'Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature[KJV] - nor in any similar Scripture did Christ command us to go only into the Western or capitalist world. Nowhere did He say to exclude the Communist world.
I have had the privilege of preaching the Gospel on every continent in most of the countries of the world, and I have found that when I present the simple message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, with authority, quoting from the very Word of God-He takes that message and drives it supernaturally into the human heart.
Proclamation, the preaching of the Gospel, should be central to Christian worship. The sermon is the central dynamic in the worship experience. It is the fulcrum upon which the entire service of worship hinges. Everything that comes before it should point to it, and everything that comes after it should issue out of it. Because of this, the pastor is the worship leader of the church.
Daniel's message of hope and help is still the good news of God's grace. We call it the Gospel today. It still has the power to impact lives and transform cultures. Paul referred to the gospel as the 'power of God' [Romans 1:16] and chose a word from which we derive our word 'dynamite' to describe it. It's this power - not pickets, petitions, protests or politics - that's our only hope today.
What do you suppose our Lord is trying to tell us on this Mother's Day? I think He is reminding us all that 'if anyone be in Christ, he is a new creation, old things are passed away, and all becomes new'(2 Corinthians 5:17). The gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ is the Good News of hope for any and all on this special day.
