God is Spirit, and He speaks to us through our Spirit, our intelligence - not through emotions. Use your rationale first, even in all matters - and especially in your sentimental life. The heart is rebellious, proud and completely unstable.
Never spit on the plate you ate. Never come to curse the one who one day bent over and paid a heavy price to pluck you from the deep end. Ingratitude brings the most tragic harvest in a person's life. It is frighteningly serious and real.
